We repair and replace water heaters in Tempe homes, from Maple-Ash near ASU to The Lakes and south Tempe. Tyler and Cam, the two owners, do the work and give you a clear price first.
A lot of Tempe homes were built in the 1960s and 1970s, so many heaters sit in spots that were never planned for today's larger tanks. Before a swap, we check the closet size, venting and gas line so the new unit fits and runs safely.

North and central Tempe are full of established ranch homes. In some, the heater sits in a hall closet or utility room instead of the garage. A leak there can reach floors and walls fast, so we pay close attention to drain pans and the T&P valve, the safety valve that vents extra pressure.
South Tempe homes are a bit newer, and most put the heater in the garage. That garage gets very hot in summer, which strains gas valves and electric parts. Add hard water, and a yearly flush is one of the easiest ways to stretch the life of your tank.
Many heaters do not need replacing. We will tell you when a simple repair is the better call.

Yes. Closet installs are common in older Tempe homes. We measure the space, check the venting and make sure a drain pan and safe T&P discharge are in place. If a standard tank will not fit, we talk through other sizes or a tankless option before any work begins.
We recommend it. Tempe gets the same hard water as the rest of the Phoenix Valley, and minerals settle at the bottom of the tank. That layer makes the heater work harder and can cause popping sounds. A yearly flush takes about an hour and helps the tank last.
